On Wednesday, we got to do science! I was so excited. We started off with our Kaitiaki class. My Kaitiaki had groups. First we go to see how far a paper plane could fly.
To tell you the truth, I was not good at all! We used a tape measure to see how long it went and mine went 7m.
We looked at force, momentum, and buoyancy by kicking soccer balls, flying paper planes and testing materials that float.
We used maths skills to measure and record data.
We also observed how different sounds are created by striking glasses filled with different amounts of water.
The other classes did lots of different activities too like planting seeds and watching how ice changes into a liquid and solid when it gets hot or cold.
It was fun learning about science.
